Amazing Views of the City Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Amazing Views of the City on Talbot Road, I’ll be honest — the name had me a bit skeptical. But you know what? They actually deliver on that promise. This four-star property sits perfectly positioned in Old Trafford, and from the moment you step inside, you understand why couples keep rating this place so highly. The building itself is part of Century Square Alexander House, which gives it this modern residential feel that’s way more relaxed than your typical hotel lobby.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about staying in Old Trafford — you’re close enough to Manchester city center to feel connected, but far enough out to actually get some peace. I mean, you can catch the tram into town easily enough, and honestly, the whole Stretford area has this authentic local vibe that most tourists never experience. What really struck me was how walkable everything felt around here. You’ve got proper local pubs within a few minutes’ walk, and the whole neighborhood has that lived-in Manchester character that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere real, not just another tourist bubble.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in genuinely lived up to the hotel’s name — those city views are something else, especially in the evening when Manchester lights up. The space felt more like a well-appointed apartment than a standard hotel room, which explains why couples seem to love it here. There’s enough room to actually spread out and relax, and the windows are these big, floor-to-ceiling affairs that frame the cityscape perfectly. The bed was comfortable (though I’m not picky), and the bathroom was modern without being sterile — you know, that sweet spot where everything works but doesn’t feel like a showroom.
Practical Considerations
What I really appreciated was how straightforward everything was. Check-in was smooth, the staff knew their stuff without being overly formal, and there’s decent parking available — which, if you’ve ever tried to park in central Manchester, you’ll know is worth its weight in gold. The building’s security felt solid too, with proper key card access and that residential building setup that makes you feel secure. Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout my stay, and the whole place just felt well-maintained without any of those little annoyances that can make or break a trip.
Why Guests Love It
After spending time here, I totally get why this place scores so well with couples and why recent guests keep highlighting the location. It’s that rare combination of being close enough to everything that matters while giving you space to breathe and actually enjoy each other’s company. The views really are spectacular — not just Manchester city center, but you get this sense of the whole urban landscape spreading out below you. Plus, there’s something about staying in Old Trafford that feels authentically Manchester in a way that downtown hotels sometimes don’t. You’re experiencing the city like locals do, just with better views and room service.

We travelled to Manchester from Wales for a football match. Old trafford was a few minutes walk away, so perfect location for us. The city centre was a short taxi ride away for drinks and food and supermarkets very close for amenities.
The host messaged regularly to make sure everything was OK. We had no issues but felt that if we did, the host would have been easy to get hold of.
The apartment was very modern, clean, and warm. Great views, excellent location, we will definitely look to book here again for future trips.Jay from United Kingdom (8/10)
