Honestly, the location here is pretty much perfect if you want to experience Manchester without constantly jumping in taxis or figuring out the tram system. You’re close enough to hear the buzz of Deansgate — Manchester’s main artery — but Wood Street itself is quiet enough that you won’t be kept awake by street noise. What I really appreciated was being able to walk to the Northern Quarter in about eight minutes, and if you’re into your football, Old Trafford is easily accessible by tram. The couples who stay here clearly get it — there’s something romantic about having the whole city at your doorstep while retreating to this more intimate base.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in had that boutique hotel feel without trying too hard to be trendy. You know what I mean — comfortable bed, thoughtful lighting, and everything actually works properly.
