Contemporary 1 Bedroom Apartment in Manchester City Centre Overview

First Impressions

Walking into the Contemporary 1 Bedroom Apartment in Manchester City Centre, you immediately get that “this is actually someone’s home” feeling — which, honestly, is exactly what you want from a serviced apartment. The space feels lived-in but polished, with modern furnishings that don’t scream “rental property.” I mean, you’re not getting marble lobbies or concierge desks here, but that’s sort of the point. This three-star setup delivers exactly what it promises: a proper Manchester base that feels more authentic than your typical hotel room.

Location & Neighborhood

The location is genuinely brilliant — there’s a reason this place scored 8.3 for location, and you’ll understand why the moment you step outside. You’re right in the thick of Manchester’s city centre, which means the Northern Quarter’s independent shops and bars are practically on your doorstep. The tram stops are close enough that you can easily reach Old Trafford or the Etihad without any hassle, and honestly, most of the city’s best bits are within walking distance anyway. Couples seem to particularly love this spot (the feedback backs this up), probably because there’s something quite romantic about having your own little Manchester pad rather than separate hotel beds.

The Living Space

The apartment itself is well thought out — you’ve got a proper bedroom that actually feels separate from the living area, which makes a huge difference if you’re staying for more than a night or two. The kitchen isn’t just for show either; it’s got everything you need if you want to grab some bits from the nearby markets and cook something up. The living room has that contemporary feel the name suggests, though it’s more “modern and comfortable” than “cutting-edge design statement.” What I really appreciated was the attention to practical details — decent Wi-Fi, proper lighting for reading, and windows that actually open (you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong).

Practical Considerations

Now, with a 7.1 rating, you know this isn’t going to be perfect — and that’s fine for what you’re paying. The building itself shows its age in places, and don’t expect daily housekeeping like you’d get in a traditional hotel. But honestly, that independence is part of the appeal. You’ve got your own space, your own routine, and nobody’s knocking on your door asking if you need fresh towels. The check-in process is straightforward enough, though it’s worth noting that this feels more like renting a flat than staying in a hotel — which some people love and others find a bit impersonal.

Why Guests Love It

What really works about this place is how it lets you live like a local for a few days rather than just passing through. You’re not stuck with overpriced room service or hunting for decent coffee every morning — you can pop to the local shops, make your own breakfast, and actually settle in properly. The couples who rate this place highly seem to get that it’s about having your own little Manchester retreat rather than being pampered. For the price point and location, it’s honestly hard to argue with the value, especially if you prefer having space to spread out over hotel-style service.

Best hotels in Manchester blend rooftop bars, spa pools, and tasting menus celebrating Northern flavors.

Our plane was late, they even let us check in middle of the night. The host who gave us the keys was excellent! Whenever you call them they always pick up. I had to pay late check in fee but it was great. I wish they had longer check in time.
