Quay Apartments Manchester Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Quay Apartments Manchester on Edge Street, you immediately get the sense that this place knows what it’s doing. The building has that sleek, modern look that screams quality without being flashy about it — honestly, it fits perfectly into this part of Manchester‘s evolving cityscape. This four-star property sits right in the heart of the Northern Quarter, and I mean right in the thick of things, which becomes pretty obvious the moment you step outside.
The Apartment Experience
What struck me most about staying here is how they’ve managed to make each apartment feel like an actual home rather than just another hotel room. The spaces are genuinely spacious — not that cramped “studio” nonsense you sometimes get with serviced apartments. Each unit comes with a proper kitchen that’s actually functional (I’m talking full-size appliances, not those tiny hotel fridges), which honestly saved me a fortune on eating out every meal. The furnishings lean modern without being cold, and there’s enough storage that you can actually unpack if you’re staying more than a night or two.
Location Magic
Here’s where this place really shines — the location is absolutely spot-on for exploring Manchester. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the trendy bars and independent shops of the Northern Quarter, but you’re also close enough to the main shopping areas that you won’t be trekking across the city for everything. I found myself wandering to Piccadilly Gardens in about ten minutes, and the train station is easily walkable when you’re heading out of town. What’s brilliant is that despite being so central, Edge Street itself is relatively quiet — you get the energy without the constant noise.
Practical Perks
The building offers secure parking, which honestly is a godsend in this part of Manchester where street parking can be a nightmare. The staff are genuinely helpful without being overly formal — they actually know the area and can point you toward decent places to eat that aren’t just tourist traps. WiFi is solid throughout (I was working remotely for part of my stay), and the building feels secure without being fortress-like. There’s also a restaurant on-site, though honestly, with so many great options within walking distance, I only tried it once.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets Quay Apartments apart is how it strikes that perfect balance between independence and service. You get the freedom of having your own space — proper cooking facilities, room to spread out, the ability to come and go as you please — but with the backup of hotel-style support when you need it. The fact that couples rate it so highly makes complete sense; there’s something about having an actual apartment that makes a city break feel more like a proper getaway than just another hotel stay. Plus, that 8.7 rating isn’t just numbers — you can feel it in the attention to detail and the way everything just works smoothly.
To book hotel in Manchester for football finals, travelers lock in arena-view suites with private hospitality lounges.

The Airbnb was absolutely perfect in every way! The beds were incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax and recharge after long days out. The location couldn’t have been better within walking distance to the arcade, a variety of restaurants, and the Manchester shopping center. The room sizes were spacious especially the ensuite room, providing plenty of comfort, while the living area was cozy. The kitchen facilities were top-notch, equipped with everything needed. It truly felt like a home away from home!
