The beds really are as comfortable as everyone says (and trust me, after a long day exploring Manchester, that matters more than fancy wallpaper). The room I stayed in was well-maintained, spacious enough to actually unpack properly, and had all the little touches you’d expect from Marriott. What struck me most was how quiet it was — you’d think being so central would mean street noise, but they’ve clearly invested in good windows. Modern amenities and thoughtful layouts make the space feel both comfortable and functional.

The breakfast setup here is actually pretty impressive — they’ve got everything from a proper full English to continental options, plus they’re surprisingly good with dietary requirements. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free — they’ve thought it through rather than just throwing together a sad afterthought menu. The buffet style works well, and the quality is consistently good.   Location. We were meeting friends in the Piccadilly area and attending a gig at the O2. The hotel was the perfect spot for this.

  Check-in was very friendly and efficient, allocating us a room on the 2nd floor, which was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and quiet. We could faintly hear the odd rumbling of a train leaving Piccadilly station, which is conveniently located less than 40 yards away. There is even a departure board in reception, which is very helpful. Drinks at the bar in the evening after our gig were expertly poured and not much more than the bar across the street. Breakfast on Sunday morning was until 1030. We arrived at 10 am and it was busy, however we found a table and got everything we wanted, again staff were very friendly and courteous. Overall, it was a very nice hotel in a brilliant location. Highly recommend.
